Roger Claver Djapone Assalé was born in Abengourou, Cote d’Ivoire. He began his career at Societe Omnisports de l’Armee’s youth team. In 2011, Sewe Sports signed him. He played 29 games until November,2014 and scored 8 goals with Sewe Sports.
After that, Roger Assale transferred to TP Mazembe in 2014. He played 75 games and scored 24 goals between 2014-2017. Assale won the CAF Champions League in 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons with TP Mazembe.
Roger Assale, who was loaned by BSC Young Boys in February 2017, transferred to Young Boys in the summer transfer season of 2017 due to his successful performance. He played 53 games, scored 27 goals and made 13 asists in Young Boys up to the present.
