Robert Skov, who came to the world on May 20, 1996 in Silkeborg, Denmark, started his football career at the same city team, Silkeborg IF. After putting on the form in the lower age groups, the first SuperLiga match was still against the Midtjylland, staying 4 days to 17 years old. On May 16, 2013, Skov played 10 minutes in the match and played 3 minutes in the next game, Odense, and went on to the 2nd SuperLiga match on the 17th birthday.
In the 2013/14 season, Silkeborg was fighting in a lower league, while Skov could only have 14 minutes against the last game of the season, the Köge. Although he missed that season’s first experience for Skov, the next season will be the season when Skov will start getting on with his time.
At the beginning of the season 14/15, Skov found himself in the squad of first team, but as a substitute in the first weeks, assists he made against Hobro in the 3rd week of the league and goals scored in Midtjylland after 2 weeks were the firsts in his career. This goal was also chosen by the Silkeborg sponsors as the best goal of the season. Skov, who had 24 matches in the league that season, finished with 1 goal and 3 assists in the season and started to become the first 11 footballers towards the end of the season.
Since Silkeborg had been relegated to the season, Skov was now a key part of the team, with a 15/16 season in the lower league. Skov, who played 6 goals and 2 assists in 24 games that season, was a big shareholder in his team’s return to SuperLiga without losing any time.
The performance he showed last season was the most productive season of his career. Skov, who played 29 games including the regular season and playoffs in the league, scored 10 goals and assists at 4.
Skov, who played 2 goals and 3 assists in the 7th game in the 2017/2018 season after the first 7 weeks, is one of the team’s best players.
Although Skov has not yet been called into Denmark’s National Team, both the press and the SuperLiga followers are among the most likely players to be called to the National Team in the near future. Skov, who showed up in teams U18, U19, U21 and Danish Olympic respectively, had the only goal of Denmark in the tournament in Olympic games in Rio in 2016. The U21 European Championship, which was held this summer, was not able to participate because of Achilles tendon injury.
Skov, who has played on the right wing generally in 82 walks with his team till today, is a player who likes to shoot the shot in the middle of the offensive midfield position at every chance when he gets away from the classic wing players. In the past season, Silkeborg played in the 4-4-2, 4-2-3-1 and 3-4-3 formations, while Skov played on the right side of the offensive line.
Strengths (Long Shots, Dribbling, Key Passes, Stability)
It would probably not be wrong for Robert Skov to define the player of the good goals. Although some fans find it extreme, Skov is a player who does not hesitate to take a shot from everywhere he sees in the game. Obviously, in this regard, Skov, who was free from his team and his teammates, had a lot of matches in the league, shooting 7,8 and 9 seasons in the league. This number is more than the number of shots that most teams put in one game. 4 weeks ago in the league they played in the league Lyngby away from the opponent kale 8 shots pulled by Skov. Skov, who has a high odds of 59% in these shots, is one of the closest players of the Silkeborg team even though it is the winger player.
Skov who plays with high confidence in the match, we can say the best of the team by taking the ball and riding on the opponent’s defense. In the past season, dribbling reached a very impressive figure of 59%. Skov succeeded in almost every two of his experiments, adding the remote shooting feature to those who really watch, enjoyable goals to watch.
It would not be wrong to be spending time in the offensive midfield position as well as on the right wing for Skov. On the heat maps of Skov, who usually appears in the Offensive’s Wing and middle positions, is doing this to send shots from the front to the goal and to make deep key passes with the left foot. Skov, who was also in the key pass test as well as almost smashing the shot, made 12 key pass tests in the first 2 weeks of the league. Skov, who has a 47 % success rate on this pitch, is highly likely to increase the number of assists with better teammates.
Skov, who has played 29 matches in the past season, regular season and playoffs, has been in the field for 90 minutes, except for 2 of them. Robert Skov, who missed five matches due to being in the Danish Olympic National Team at the beginning of the league, has continued steadily in the rest of the league without any injuries. Although in the summer season, despite suffering from injury to the Achilles Tendon, he was able to play for 90 minutes in the first 7 games of the season.
Weaknesses (Rush Decision, Crossing, Defensive Contribution, Air Challenges)
It is not yet possible to say that the game is fully mature although Robert Skov is an effective offensive player. The player himself stated in February that he made more accurate decisions in his interview with Tipsbladet.dk site and worked on making the game more mature. The freedom of shooting in the team often prevents him from thinking one way and looking around his head.
Despite the fact that most of the wing players are expected to cross in today, Skov is not very efficient in this regard due to the game style. Skov, who usually crosses 2-3 per game, has a low hit rate of 26%.
Similar Players: Deniz Türüç(Kayserispor), Serdar Gürler(Osmanlispor), Hatem Ben Arfa (PSG)
Although there are players whose teams start with a straight winger and whose minds are in a more central position. In our league, we can say the best 2 examples in this subject are Kayserispor’s Dutch-based player Deniz Turuc and Osmanlıspor’s French-based player Serdar Gürler. Deniz’s shot in and pulled away from the distance, and the key passes are in a style similar to Skov. At the same time, Serdar Gürler’s effective distance shots and dribbling features on top of the opponent’s defense show similarities with Skov.
Although it will not reach the level of Ben-Arfa, we can write it among the players who look like Skov as an example from the international level.
At the same time, the mentally unselfish game structure which is not multi-disciplinary overlaps with Turuc, Gürler and Ben Arfa. Although Skov was given that freedom in his own team, Deniz and Serdar have been either removed early in the match or have a fan reaction because of their selfish play in their own teams many times in our league.
